QC Inspector

Job Description

We are looking for a candidate who is knowledgeable in the field of structural steel fabrication and inspection. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of steel components according to blueprints and specifications. You will ensure all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural steel blueprints, safety rules, and operating procedures.
• Fabricate steel components using various tools and equipment.
• Assemble steel components to meet project specifications.
• Inspect welds for quality and adherence to AWS standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in steel fabrication preferred.
• Knowledge of dimensional tolerances as per AISC code and AWS welding codes.
• Familiarity with high-strength bolted connection inspection requirements (RCSC).
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations in all units of measure.
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to read and interpret technical documents.
• Proficiency in using basic measuring tools and equipment (tape measure, weld gauges, level, square, flashlight).
• AWS-CWI certification preferred.
• Knowledge of AWS and AISC codes for steel fabrication and erection.
• Understanding of various weld testing procedures.
